Originally from Australia, Kate holds degrees in Education, Counseling, and an MFA in Directing, and is a freelance theatre professional who has worked professionally in all aspects of theatre for over 40 years. As well as working in live theatre, she taught in the theatre department of a liberal arts college for 18 years and developed a storytelling/performance people living with trauma and chronic illness. A playwright/screenwriter, her work includes Loplop and the Queen about Surrealist artists Max` Ernst and Dorothea Tanning; the award-winning Sky…Diamonds, exploring a family’s experience of Alzheimer’s andUngodly Behavior, a retelling of the Demeter/Persephone story. In 2019 served as Head Writer for Guangzhou Sunboy Animation and Toy Co. and developed their first female-driven show and was a series writer, co-story editor on the New Generation of The Care Bears. Currently producing my live action WEird Detention.
